Over 100 activists entered Ridglan Farms in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin and openly rescued 30 beagles bred for laboratory experimentation. 22 were adopted by loving families and remain safe. 8 were seized back by the sheriff's office and returned to the facility.

Over 1,000 activists returned to rescue the remaining dogs. The Dane County Sheriff responded by brutalizing the rescuers with tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets — protecting the abusers instead of the abused.

Big win! The Center for a Humane Economy and Big Dog Ranch Rescue negotiated the purchase and release of 1,500 dogs from Ridglan Farms. They're now being cared for by rescue groups and awaiting adoption — some are already in foster or forever homes.

The fight isn't over. We believed about 500 dogs remained at Ridglan, but Rep. Mark Pocan stated that he met with the USDA and learned 650 dogs still need our help urgently.
